Are They Too Young for Rhinoplasty?
Unfortunately, some of our adorable nieces and nephews may not like their noses. Perhaps there's a bump on the nose or the nose is crooked nose or hanging. Perhaps they feel it's too large or too wide, or just disproportionate to your niece’s or nephew’s face. Rhinoplasty or nose reshaping is a surgical procedure done to help balance the nose and restore a more natural contour.
Candidates for rhinoplasty need to have realistic expectations and be in good health. Facial bones need to be fully developed, and the patient needs to be mature emotionally and able to understand the risks and benefits of surgery. Most plastic surgeons recommend that children wait until they reach age 15 or 16 before correcting cosmetic nose deformities.
We want your nieces and nephews to be having surgery for the right reasons – and improve their appearance for themselves – not for their relatives or friends!
